Hello out there blog followers! I’ve started a second blog called Pop the Q to feature proposal stories from brides I work with, family, and friends. Check it out! I’m hoping it’ll provide some entertaining reading for the romantics like me out there.
If you’d like to share your story, I’d love to hear it! Submit it through the contact form at poptheq.rachelbrownephotography.com.
Have a great weekend!

Every year, PDN magazine holds the mother of all wedding photography contests, Top Knots. There’s serious competition from wedding photographers all over the world, and only a few images make it all the way to the magazine, which is a huge advertising and promotion opportunity.
I’ve entered three images this year, and I’m hoping they have what it takes to make the cut. But even if the judges aren’t feeling what I’ve entered, there’s also a People’s Choice category. So, if you like what I’ve entered, vote! And if you have friends that are bored online at work, get them to vote too.
I appreciate any help I can get. The link below will get you in.

For my brides out there in the midst of wedding planning, I thought I’d share two great wedding blogs for ideas, inspiration, and in general wedding fun. I follow these blogs to keep up with wedding trends, but I actually got to use ideas from them to help my parents plan my brother’s rehearsal dinner… success on both ends!
This blog is written by three women, all designers, who provide ideas aimed at modern women. They provide everything from sample color schemes to gift bag ideas to vendor recommendations.
Snippet & Ink was recommended to me by my friend Bridget, whose beautiful wedding I was a bridesmaid in this weekend. The author of the blog writes nearly every day, providing ideas, color schemes, and information about sales and giveaways.
Hope you’ll find these helpful! In the meantime, what blogs are you following? Any you’d recommend?
