I’m so excited to share Heather and John’s newlywed session. They were married in a sweet ceremony in May, and came out to Main Street in Lexington to do some fun shots in all their wedding finest just a few weeks later. This was a really fun shoot, because they’re game for anything…and they toughed out some seriously hot weather to get great results. Congrats again guys!

When I decided I wanted to start offering newlywed portraits (portrait sessions scheduled some time after the wedding…you get to wear the whole getup, but no stress on timetables), I figured my brother and his new wife were the perfect guinea pigs. Part of the raw deal about being family of the photographer is that your photos get pushed to the bottom of the pile…over and over again.  We shot these in September, and I just now finished. Mea culpa.

I had a blast shooting with them…and not just because I can boss them around more than I can my clients. They were such good sports about everything….from clouds of mosquitoes to my crazy ideas. At one point, Chelsea was standing on a fence post and an onlooker – one of many – called her a bridesicle.  What can I say? Always fun times with the Browne family.
